SERVICE INTERVAL
Most manufacturers recommend rebuilding shocks every 10-40k miles even if they are not leaking. Lack of service will lead to poor performance and ultimately, internal damage to the shocks. Periodically servicing your shocks will make them last a lifetime and keep your truck/suv riding smooth.
DISASSEMBLY & CLEANING
We first clean and inspect every set of shocks when received. Checking nitrogen pressure, signs of leaking, nitrogen mixed in oil, etc. All of these tell a story which helps us identify any internal failures inside the shock and prevent future failures. Once disassembled the piston and shims are cleaned individually. All o-ring mating surfaces are cleaned and inspected. Shafts are micro polished and cylinders honed if necessary.
ASSEMBLY & BLEEDING
The manufacturer's shock oil is used unless specified by the customer. The cleaned shock components and fresh seals are carefully reassembled in a clean environment using a thorough bleeding procedure to ensure a hydraulic system which will function properly and last.
FINAL CLEANING & CHECK
Once shocks are completed they go through a final cleaning to remove oil residue and give them a fresh new look. Ball joints are lubricated with dry lube and shocks are pressure tested to check for leaks and proper operation.
